More Favorite Stones (Not the Musical Group, Ha)

Let's see, how about Rose Quartz?  This stone is naturally pink, sometimes very pale.  Occasionally it is dyed to enhance the color, but I prefer to use natural stones.  Sometimes there are streaks of opaque white quartz in the stones as well.  Here is a piece, combined with another favorite, prehnite:
Behind the slabs of rose quartz are amazonite (aqua), chunk of raw rose quartz, and amethyst.

Aqua Terra Jasper:  this stone comes in vibrant shades, such as this one, or in more delicate shades.  It is also referred to as Impression Jasper, or Sea Sediment Jasper.  I combined it with cream quartz and golden crystals, along with antique brass metal components.

Serpentine...so many types are available.  This one is referred to as Rainbow Jade, or Antique Jade.
Serpentine is relatively soft, and should be handled and stored with some care.

Moss Agate is a beautiful and fascinating stone when viewed closely.  It contains green inclusions and white agates (sometimes drusy).  I used a woodgrained jasper for contrast when designing this piece:
One more for today.  This is considered an organic bead, since it was a living creature at one time.  Its name is Apple Coral; you can see why:

These pieces are all in my personal collection (all designed and made by me).  Thanks for looking!

  2. Thanks! The beauty of the stones is not due to me, though...I just try to share it.

  3. I am totally with you on using only the natural stones, and I share your love of all things jasper. I've become a compulsive Rainforest Jasper person, and I can't see it without buying it. Great pics of your stuff. I especially loved the serpentine. Go, blog hop!
